Thanks for checking out my review of sustainable, Canadian-made clothing brand, Prana Vida. As someone on a mission to embrace sustainable and Canadian-made fashion, I recently discovered Prana Vida and had the pleasure of trying out two of their standout pieces – the Fleece-Lined High Rise Leggings in Black and the Reversible Embrace Bra in Black. Here’s my honest review after wearing these items for a few weeks.
The Fleece-Lined High Rise Leggings in Black
The promise of being “like being naked in a fluffy cloud” is not an exaggeration. These leggings are a dream come true for comfort seekers. The exterior is buttery smooth, and the interior is delightfully fleecy, creating a cozy warmth that’s perfect for colder days. The high-waisted design is a win, offering a flattering fit without constricting the belly or slipping down (they also passed the squat test!). True to the description, these leggings feel like a second skin, allowing for ease of movement without sacrificing style.
The Reversible Embrace Bra in Black

The Reversible Embrace Bra lives up to its name, truly embracing you in comfort and style. Say goodbye to rigid wires, thin straps, and scratchy materials – this bra top is a game-changer. The reversible feature adds versatility to your wardrobe, allowing you to switch up styles effortlessly. I found myself eagerly reaching into the laundry hamper just to wear it again – a testament to its comfort and allure.
Sustainability and Ethical Considerations
One of the main reasons I was drawn to Prana Vida is their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. The owner’s journey, starting from a personal need for consciously made clothing, adds a heartfelt touch to the brand. Also, Prana Vida’s dedication to using natural and recycled fabrics amd minimizing waste in shipping aligns with my values as a consumer.
Supporting a Canadian, Women-Owned Business
Prana Vida’s Canadian roots, coupled with its status as a women-owned business, resonates with my desire to support local, ethically-made clothing and empower female entrepreneurs. The price point ($78 for the top and $98 for the leggings) is justifiable when considering the ethical and sustainable practices, and it’s comparable to larger brands lacking these attributes.

Sizing and Growth-Friendly Design
I appreciate that the items appear true to size, providing a comfortable and flattering fit. The added bonus is the growth-friendly design, ensuring these pieces can adapt to various stages of life, from maternity to postpartum and beyond (I will perhaps provide an update on this, one day).
I hope you enjoyed this review of sustainable, Canadian-made clothing brand, Prana Vida. I believe that Prana Vida has succeeded in delivering on its promise of comfort, style, and consciousness. The leggings and bra are not just pieces of clothing but reflections of a brand that values sustainability, ethics, and the comfort of its customers. My journey with Prana Vida has been nothing short of delightful. I look forward to seeing how this brand continues to evolve and inspire.
