Add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor. We used a Vitamix blender.
Blend, starting at low, and slowly go to high
Use the Vitamix tamper or a large spoon/spatula to press down the mixture from the sides to ensure even blending
If the hummus is too thick or not blending smoothly, slowly stream in more water 1 tsp at a time until a smooth consistency is reached
Serve as is, or top with olive oil, sesame seeds, paprika, and red chili flakes
